It’s not long before Bethany puts Daniel before her career, despite Sarah encouraging her to take the chance.

She tells Daniel she failed to get a place on the writing course, with Daniel pretty pleased she’ll be sticking around.

But she doesn’t tell him about the internship, leading to Adam Barlow telling his uncle the truth.

Mo actress Laila Morse is actually a decade younger than her character, aged 74.

Meanwhile soap legend June, who plays Dot, recently celebrated her 93rd birthday.

This makes her around six years older than her alter-ego, and almost 20 years older than co-star Laila.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
